The Physician team RN contributes to the company’s mission and supports the company’s values by providing safe, effective patient care. Working independently, if in outreach, the RN will admit and educate patients during outreach clinic visits. In clinic, the RN will be responsible for managing patient care calls, orders, prep instructions, medication, labs, pathology, and other duties as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately record patient information
Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind
Accurately and completely chart patient results, medications, and activities related to patient interactions and provider instructions
Complete medical orders and communicate pertinent information to patient.
Manage telephone communication including patient advice/instruction, addressing prescription requests/questions and assisting patient needs and document actions appropriately.
Provide appropriate education of patient and/or family based on condition/diagnosis.
Assist with housekeeping duties and clinic needs.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent problem-solving skills
Able to multi-task and work quickly, with constantly changing circumstances and priorities
Ability to convey or exchange complex information
Strong computer skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse with current WY RN license
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI Clinic, Surgery Center or Critical Care setting highly preferred
Proficiency in MS Excel, electronic health systems and databases, such as gMed, required
Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move around a medical center/healthcare environment 90% of the time
Consistently grasps, moves or assembles small objects
Make quick, precise adjustments and manipulate machines and controls
Consistently uses computers and relays information verbally and through email, messages and phone.
Frequently communicates with others and exchanges information on an on-going basis.
Must be able to move up to 50 lbs.
