Gas Power Global Supply Chain is Hiring a Manufacturing Specialist - Buckets 2nd Shift Ops Leader Near Greenville, SC

Job Description Summary

Perform the daily operations of Buckets on 2nd shift to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.
  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Has autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Leads a team of hourly employees with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing or Engineering
  • At least 1 year of Manufacturing or Engineering experience

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC plant
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift: 2:30pm - 11:30pm EST
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required by business needs (minimum 1 weekend monthly)

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior experience in a Leadership function (IE: Team Lead, Shift Coordinator, Supervisor, etc.)
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Pay Transparency

The starting base pay range for this position is $ 74,800 - 93,500. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.This posting is expected to close on May 31, 2024, or thereafter.

  • The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
