Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stocking Associate to join our team. As a Stocking Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring that merchandise is properly stocked and organized in our retail store. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the overall success of our store.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload merchandise shipments
- Inspect incoming products for quality and accuracy
- Stock shelves, racks, and displays with new merchandise
- Arrange products in an organized and visually appealing manner
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed
- Assist customers with locating products and provide excellent customer service
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts to move heavy items
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or retail preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Basic math skills for retail calculations (e.g., pricing, discounts)
- Familiarity with handling packages and using scanning devices
- Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (certification preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of proper handling and storage of produce is desirable
