Summary
The Senior Director of Public Affairs plays a critical role in leading clients with long- and short-term efforts, assisting senior staff with daily tasks and client deliverables. In addition to effective communication, organizational, and writing skills, this position requires a deep understanding of the political landscape and in-depth knowledge of Republican and/or conservative politics and advocacy infrastructure both in DC and beyond.
Responsibilities
Assisting client engagement strategies
Development of prep memos and briefing materials for client meetings
Participating in New Business Development
Assisting writing and research efforts for clients
Development of client reports
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in public affairs, federal, state, or local government, lobbying and/or political campaigns
Public Affairs agency experience
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
Solid networking and interpersonal skills
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and related applications (social media content creation and web development a plus, but not required).
Team player with competitive instincts
