A Leading Investment Management Firm in Manhattan is seeking a Full-Time, permanent, employee for an experienced Senior Cloud/Software Development Technical Program Manager. This person will lead their ambitious Cloud Transformation initiatives transformation, optimization, and modernization of the platforms to the best-in-class technologies.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in modernizing our platforms, ensuring they leverage the best-in-class cloud technologies for optimal performance, scalability, and efficiency. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in software engineering, project management, and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Transformation Strategy:

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the migration and optimization of existing systems to cloud platforms.

Identify and evaluate best-in-class cloud technologies suitable for the organization's needs.

2. Project Management:

Oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project goals and objectives.

Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation strategies.

3. Project Leadership:

Lead cross-functional teams through the entire software development life cycle, ensuring successful delivery of cloud transformation projects.

Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

4. Technical Expertise:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, specifications, and deliverables.

Strong knowledge of development environment and tools. The Firm uses Python, Apis, and middleware/databases.

Strong knowledge of development environment and tools.

Familiarity with Data Management and Warehousing.

Solid understanding of Cloud technologies, preferably AWS.

Strong knowledge and practical experience with Agile methodologies

Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, providing guidance on the adoption of new technologies and best practices.

5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and security, to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including executive leadership.

6. Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks associated with cloud transformation projects.

Implement proactive measures to ensure the security, compliance, and reliability of the cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications:
10 years' experience managing IT Systems Development project teams in a cross-functional environment. The firm uses IT resources from pooled teams.

Strong knowledge of development environment and tools. The Firm uses Python, Apis, and middleware/databases.

Strong knowledge of development environment and tools.

Familiarity with Data Management and Warehousing.

Solid understanding of Cloud technologies, preferably AWS.

Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Collaborative and innovative work environment.

Strong knowledge and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.). SCRUM, Safe or other Agile certifications required.
