Join Our Team as a Lead Estimator!

Role Overview:

As a Lead Estimator at Garrett Brown Designs, you'll take on a pivotal role in our sales team. You will be responsible for bid preparation, value engineering options, and various aspects of the sales process. This position requires a seasoned professional with experience in the millwork and furniture industry. Your expertise in the estimating process and architectural plan interpretation will be invaluable as you lead and train others, manage workloads, and facilitate internal and external sales meetings with clients and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Training and Management: Assist in Training and managing junior estimators, ensuring a high standard of work and efficient workflow management.
• Meeting Facilitation: Host internal and external sales meetings with clients and vendors, providing expert guidance and fostering productive relationships.
• Documentation Oversight: Oversee comprehensive bid tracking and proposal documentation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Vendor Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors, overseeing the review of vendor quotes and ensuring cost-effective sourcing of materials.
• Project Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal staff, external vendors, and clients to finalize bids effectively and meet project requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3 years of experience in a similar role or within the millwork and furniture industry preferred.
• Expertise: Deep understanding of the estimating process from a millwork perspective, including expert-level knowledge of reading architectural plans.
• Onsite Experience: Preferably, experience or knowledge of onsite installations.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
• Problem-solving: Proactive problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
