Job Summary:
Garlyn Shelton VW in Temple, Texas is seeking a Parts Consultant to join our team. This is a Full Time, individual contributor role in the auto industry. As a Parts Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting customers in finding the right parts for their vehicle, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about cars and providing exceptional service to customers.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $35000 to $75000 per year, paid biweekly. Additionally, our company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and employee discounts on products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them in finding the right parts for their vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with customers and addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have
- Use computer systems to identify and locate parts in inventory
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and assist with ordering parts as needed
- Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the parts department
- Keep up-to-date with new products and industry trends
- Assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting with customers
- Meet sales goals set by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, some college coursework or automotive training preferred
- Previous experience in the automotive industry or as a Parts Consultant is preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software systems
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
