As a shift leader, you help set the standards by which our restaurant is judged in your personal appearance, your disposition, your attitude towards the guest and employees. You are always in full view of the guest. You only get one opportunity to make a first impression.
Good communication skills are a must. Your working relationship with the entire staff is vital to the operation of the restaurant. You must be able to anticipate guest needs, as well as communicate those needs to your service staff. Many times, you will be asked to take care of the problem yourself.
Due to the nature of our business, this position is required to work weekends and holidays.
Your responsibilities will include supervising shifts, training and coaching team members, and maintaining operational standards. You will assist the GM with scheduling and any other shift related responsibilities. You must be a leader, be vocal, and lead by example.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of employees during assigned shifts
- Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and procedures
- Supervise kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and assembly
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
- Assist in training new employees and provide ongoing support to existing staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask effectively
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
