Description

• Troubles shoot any tufting machine operational issue; investigate if the issue is a mechanical one or a raw material issue.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and ensure the task are completed and documented.
• To set up and adjust the machine depending on which style is being tufted.
• Coordinate with purchasing to reduce cost related to supplies and parts.
• Ensure machines are ready to be operated prior to requesting a crew, this should include but not be limited to the check piece and any minor adjustments such as needles and tensions.
• To follow all safety procedures when working on equipment (lockout/tagout etc.)
• Documenting all machine set up for each style.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical aptitude

• Understanding of basic mechanical operation of a tufting machine

• Basic knowledge of tool types and uses

• Must have an excellent attendance record

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills

• Must be willing and able to move and lift up to 50lbs several times during the shift

• Work at heights up to 25 feet.
• FRS certify
