Job Summary

The associate dentist specializes in performing & offering diagnostics, services and products for optimal oral health. Under the general supervision of the Dental Director, the Dentist is responsible for administering, maintaining, and expanding a program of primary (and in selected cases, secondary) care and preventive dental care.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • A focus on building trust and long-term relationships with patients & their families.
  • Meticulous technical skills, with great attention to detail, and interest in continued technical advancement.
  • Work ethic - our partners and team members all work hard, very hard and they all appreciate what they've earned.
  • A willingness to collaborate with clinicians inside and outside the practice.
  • A willingness to meet productivity goals while developing and maintaining patient care and relationships first.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Minimum average $500 per hour net production in any 16-day period.
  • 50% or higher comprehensive case acceptance rate in any 16-day period.
  • 98% collection rate of net production in any consecutive 16-day period.

Hours Of Operation

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Salary Compensation

Base Salary percentage of productions (salary ranges between $200,000 - $350,000 based upon your experience and treatment acceptance %)

About You

  • The ideal candidate should be comfortable with working with patients of all ages, be proficient in performing regular checkups and complex dental procedures, and be committed to the highest quality of patient care. Additional requirements:
  • Works well together with doctors and team
  • Provide unsurpassed dental care to our patients
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to "connect" with patients
  • Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment to patients, including root canals, surgical extractions, partials/dentures, implants, and cosmetic dentistry
  • Educate patients and parents of patients on maintaining proper oral health
  • Communicate with dental staff on our team regarding patient treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications as necessary
  • Carefully document all medications, diagnoses, treatments, and consultations
  • Supervise the work of professional, technical, and administrative staff

Dentist Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice in the state - DDS or DMD required
  • Current license to practice dentistry in Maryland
  • DEA license
  • NPI on record
  • Proficient in placing implants (or willing to learn)
  • Proficient in root canals, extractions, basic restorative and crown & bridge work
  • Willingness to be coached on case acceptance
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to act with integrity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
  • Long-term relationship and partnership desired
  • Proof of PPO Accreditation up to date
  • Up to date certification in CPR
  • Up to date Liability Insurance but no less than Two Million and 00/100 Dollars ($2,000,000.00) per occurrence and Six Million and 00/100 Dollars ($6,000,000.00) per annual aggregate.

There will be opportunities to learn, grow, and buy into the practice. The position will have a guaranteed salary with additional bonus based on adjusted production.
