Position Summary

Gardner Builders is seeking a proactive and curious marketing professional to join our team. We are looking for someone who is highly organized and nimble, possessing a strong sense of personal responsibility and the ability to drive team accountability with grace and tact. In this role, you will closely collaborate with the project management and marketing teams to support the business's proposal response requirements. Your contributions will include providing sharp strategic insights, upholding brand excellence, and delivering outstanding communication. Our ideal candidate is skilled in creating visually appealing layouts, possesses exceptional written communication abilities, and can effectively interact with individuals of diverse personalities. They have a remarkable talent for identifying and focusing on the details that matter most to clients and projects, skillfully crafting concise and impactful content that wins clients' hearts.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with marketing and construction project team professionals to create custom, impactful, and timely proposals for all company entities and office locations.
• Design layout, assemble requested information, write and edit copy, and present a compelling completed response package.
• Elevate and personalize the existing Request for Proposal (RFP) management process, blending the candidates organizational style mixed with the current processes to support the execution of all RFPs in the most efficient manner.
• Engaging the response process with a strategic and empathic lens to uniquely craft responses per the client and project, leveraging relationships and industry trends.
• A captivating storyteller who recognizes and implements the nuances of customer needs, and the ability to bring our brand voice to life in every word. 
• Demonstrate strong attention-to-detail in comparing customer requirements against proposed solutions; ensure accuracy of information provided in RFP responses.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Strong graphic design skills
• Excellent copywriting and copyediting skills 
• Must have experience with Adobe InDesign
• Preferred experience with the Adobe Creative Suite; particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and Premier Pro
• Solid and thoughtful understanding of strategic brand communication
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Strong commitment to follow-through and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Construction industry experience welcome
• Highly Organized and Efficient at Prioritization
• Nimble and Agile
• Holding people accountable to timelines, responsibilities
• Adhering to project (RFP) timelines/schedule
• Effective writer/adaptable to brand tone-of-voice

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education preferred, but not required.
• 3-5 years of experience in technical communication preferred.
• A portfolio of work may be requested further in the interview process
• 1 years of experience assembling and managing proposal responses (or transferable experience)
