Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients and their beloved pets. We are a small animal general practice that also offers, grooming, daycare, boarding, and training services. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement within our clinic.
Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar (we use Impromed)
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries promptly and professionally
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate billing and payment processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Coordinate with veterinary technicians and doctors to ensure smooth patient flow
- Provide basic information on veterinary services, procedures, and products
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred, however we are willing to train the right candidate
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in computer systems and software applications
- Ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
