Looking for a dedicated and professional Business Office Manager to assist in the day-to-day operations of a Nursing Facility. This position works directly under the Executive Director to ensure a beautiful building and its inhabitants are managed to the highest degree. Previous experience as a Business Office Manager or related position in geriatrics/healthcare is a plus.
Essential Responsibilities:
GENERAL
1. Maintains confidentiality of information the community, its staff and residents.
2. Establishes and nurtures collaborative relationships with residents and their families.
3. Contributes to the effective operations of the company by demonstrating dependability in job performance.
FINANCE
1. Responsible for following-up with late payments
2. Be responsible for maintaining all census and financial information in databases. Data entry and resident
billing management.
3. As the liaison to the Finance Department, assist with payables using the coding system, getting the appropriate signatures, entering and coding invoices into AP system, and following up with routine bills.
4. Administers the time and attendance systems to ensure accuracy of payroll processing and records in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Time entry and payroll management.
HUMAN RESOURCES
1. Responsible for gathering all new employee paperwork, drug and TB test results prior to employee’s first day at work/orientation.
2. Assists all managers in maintaining personnel policies following established procedures and organization guidelines to ensure fair and equitable treatment for all associates.
3. Manages all department records and establishes filing system to expedite retrieval of information.
4. Participates in new employee orientation.
5. Administers all company benefit programs in accordance with current plan documents.
6. Coordinates unemployment and workers’ compensation programs.
7. Responsible for posting ads and conducting background checks on potential employees
8. Is a member of the safety committee
9. Collaborates with all staff to maintain the safety and security of all who reside, visit, or work in the community.
