Responsibilities/Qualifications

 Homestead Health Care is hiring for Private Duty caregivers in the surrounding area of Garden City, MI

Competitive Pay Rates - Flexible Schedules - Full time to part time hours available

Homestead has been in business for over 35 years and are picking up new clients weekly. We have private duty cases in your area. We have 4 up to 12 hour flexible shifts! 

We start at $15

Responsibilities:

  • Use of transfer assistive devices, including but not limited to Hoyer lifts, sit to stand, gait belts and slide board
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and walking
  • Evaluate changes in client’s health, conferring with other healthcare team members as needed
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping
  • Use and cleaning of devices such as catheters, colostomy bags and oxygen supplies
  • Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor
  • Develop and implement meaningful life enrichment activities
  • Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
  • Transport client to doctors’ appointments or shopping
  • Complete all required documents and charting
  • Plan, shop for and prepare nutritious meals
  • Provide companionship for the client
  • Follow all Homestead policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience
  • Experience passing medications
  • Able to pass a criminal background check
  • Valid Driver License/Insurance
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation
  • Travel Max of 25 miles
  • Weekend Availability
