Security Officer - Rail Yard
Job Overview:
As a Rail Yard Security Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of the rail yard premises, personnel, and assets. This position involves conducting vehicle patrols to monitor and detect any unauthorized access, potential security threats, and safety hazards within the rail yard. Location:

• KCMO Area - (Near North Indian Mound)

Environment:

• Industrial - Rail Yard

Starting Pay Rate:

• $17.00 / hr.

Working Days & Hours:

• Saturdays & Sundays - 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (mornings)
• Monday & Tuesday - 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (afternoon)

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Responsibilities specific to this client site include, but are not limited to:

• Interior/exterior foot patrols.
• Inbound and Outbound merchandise tracking.
• Vehicle patrols conducted through the use of company vehicles during shift hours.
• Majority of time will be inside a checkpoint facility interacting with traffic in and out of the property.
• Other security-related duties as assigned
• On-the-job training provided

General Security responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide excellent customer service to our clients
• Observe, survey, and report activities at the assigned site
• Respond quickly to critical situations
• Ability to read and write detailed reports
• Enforce client procedures, regulations, and standards

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications specific to this client site include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods
• Customer service skills
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
• Phone skills
• Computer skills
• Strong communications skills and customer service experience/skills
• At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
• KCMO Class A Security License (GARDAWORLD will help to obtain if needed)

General Qualifications to work in physical security at GardaWorld include:

• Possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED)
• Pass an extensive screening process
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen
