The Lead Installer is a key person in the completion of each and every project. The Lead Installer will be competent in completion of all Garage Living jobs that are assigned. Experienced floor installers (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUAqZ-bIkUg) are critical for the delivery of our proprietary floor solutions, but Projects require general carpentry field skills, installations include steel cabinetry, slatwall, overhead storage.

The lead installer’s role includes but is not limited to:
Essential Functions:

  • Preparing for each project by reviewing orders, ensuring the materials are loaded properly onto the truck.
  • Ensuring all company tools and vehicles are operated properly and in a safe manner.
  • Onsite planning and execution of the project according to the documents prepared by the office and Designer.
  • Responsible for communication with the client as a matter of daily operations or to discuss onsite issues.
  • Managing issues onsite is a critical element in client satisfaction – the lead installer must manage these situations in a professional, courteous, and productive manner in order to ensure the client’s complete satisfaction.
  • Responsible for managing the Assistant Installer(s) on his/her team – direction of work to be completed, ensuring tasks completed meet the quality standards of Garage Living, and overall supervision of the other installer onsite.
  • Assess field challenges promptly, arriving at solutions based on their experience or through communication with others within the Garage Living operation. Performing installation – The lead installer is also responsible for work to be completed onsite as part of the scope of work on each project. The lead installer will typically perform the more difficult or skilled tasks while delegating the less involved elements to the assistant. This position is similar to a working foreman who contributes to the actual work being completed while supervising other employees and quality of workmanship. Lead installer should be viewed as a “working foreman” that actively participates in the installation while managing the project/site.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Epoxy flooring. Training will be supplied for slatwall and cabinet installation if needed.
  • Construction background. Ability to hang cabinets a plus
  • Project management experience
  • Has worked in teams and independently to complete projects
  • Has a vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • A true problem solver

  • A winning attitude
  • Physically presentable – clean cut, professional and dressed appropriately for the role. Shows up every day in clean clothes.
  • Expenses will be paid for by Garage Living when traveling.

  • In excellent physical condition necessary to perform the physical labor required to complete installations

Salary: From $25.00 per hour

  • Schedule: 8-10 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Overtime (time and half) depending on workload.
  • Lead Epoxy Floor Installer

Assistant Installer:

Will be responsible for following leads instructions on flooring and cabinet/slat wall projects.

  • Loading materials for days job properly onto the truck.
  • Ensuring all company tools and vehicles are operated properly and in a safe manner.
  • 1 year Experience in Epoxy flooring.
  • Construction background. Ability to hang cabinets a plus. must be good with a drill and slat wall screw installation.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Pay $20-$25/hr
  • Willingness to travel within the State of Colorado for short periods of time (2-5 days). Food and accommodations paid.
  • In excellent physical condition necessary to perform the physical labor required to complete installations
  • Has a vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Physically presentable – clean cut, professional and dressed appropriately for the role. Shows up every day in clean clothes.
