Provide onsite training and technical expertise in preparing units for Deliberate (long range) and worldwide contingency deployments by developing training programs and Classroom instruction to train military Mobility Warrant Officers (MWO) and Unit Movement Officers / Non-Commissioned Officers (UMO/UMNCO) using various transportation command and control systems to move cargo and personnel to deployment Areas Of Responsibilities (AOR).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for curriculum development, revision and maintenance. Technical curriculum may involve Automated Information Systems: TC-AIMS II, ICODES, JOPES, RF-ITV, etc. Teaching tailored technical courses in accordance with approved curriculum to maintain proficiency and to evaluate and develop new instructional techniques/courses.
• Assists in developing and reviewing deployment/mobilization plans
• Advises unit commanders, Unit Movement Officers (UMO), Unit Movement NCOs (UMNCO) and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) certifiers regarding regulatory and operational requirements for planning and execution of movements by air, rail, motor, military convoy and ocean transport.
• Serves as an Emergency/Deployment Readiness exercises (E/DRE) evaluator.
• Provides units guidance on updates to and submission of their Unit Movement Data (UMD).
• Development of alternative teaching techniques and scenarios to maintain high motivation and interest in the subject areas.
• While acting as the testing officer, conduct an analysis of test and provide revisions, as necessary.
• Provides training and SME guidance to customers on the operation of the Division Transportation Office (DTO), BCT Mobility Section and subordinate units’ Unit Movement Officers (UMO).
• Provide a comprehensive assessment of training and shall define training requirements to include:
  • An analysis of perishable skills
  • Identification of Terminal Learning Objectives (TLO)
  • Development of outcome metrics
  • Development of test materials and hands-on evaluation for logistics training
• Informs Team Chief on logistical matters and results of field assessments
• Prepare and deliver briefings, point papers, reports, fact sheets, and respond to their assigned command.
• Maintain verification systems to identify deficiencies and shortcomings by examining unit deployment readiness requirements and processes to ensure compliance with applicable Army Regulations, field manuals, technical publications, and FORSCOM policies.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in Army Transportation Deployment Operations
• High School Diploma or GED
• Secret clearance required

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10 years’ experience in Unit Movement Operations strongly preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of unit movement planning and execution requirements for mobilization and deployment of Army units.
• Knowledge of equipment preparation and documentation requirements for all modes of transportation.
• Previous experience as a trainer or instructor is strongly preferred.
• Assistance is given in training MWOs, UMOs, UMNCOs, Air Load Planners and HAZMAT Certifiers
• Possess the ability to effectively communicate with others.
• Knowledge of Army structure, commands, units, and logistics components.
• Ability to travel required to provide unit training and assistance, attend conferences and training.
• Knowledge of transportation deployment automated systems functionality.
• Valid driver license and transportation. Supporting documentation may be requested upon time of hire.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods in either an outdoor or office environment.
