Position Objective: GAP Solutions, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Bethesda, MD.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Translate requirements into design solutions and build applications to meet user needs.
• Effectively balances scope and business needs to build and deliver high quality solutions.
• Provide end-to-end software development support.
• Leverage software development frameworks and best practices to build high quality applications.
• Deliver software patches and bug fixes to meet published timelines.
• Provide timely and effective resolutions to DIR customers for third party applications.
• Perform as the lead developer on projects and provide technical leadership to design and implement solutions.
• Contribute to design reviews and source code reviews for applications.
• Contribute to discussions on industry and technology trends and platform evolution.
• Stay informed about new features and capabilities to enhance the application user experience and functionality.
• Utilize the following tools and technologies: Structured data transformation using Oracle/SQL via SSIS (ETL process), Microsoft power Apps (Dynamics 365 CE, XRM Toolbox, Azure CI/CD pipelines, Git hub, PowerShell, JQuery, REST API, Process/Work flows, Plugins), Visual Studio C#.NET, Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development, Azure DevOps, and JIRA Confluence.

Education Requirements and Experience Requirements:

• • Qualified applicants must have a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a foreign equivalent, and two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer, or a substantially similar position, performing the following duties: 1) Provide end-to-end software development support; 2) Analyze and interpret functional requirements in order to deliver solutions achieving sustainability and reliability by leveraging existing and emerging technologies; 3) Evaluate business challenges and work with the team to arrive at the best fit technology solution components; 4) Translate requirements into design solutions and build applications to meet user needs; 5) Design, document, and develop applications and business intelligence solutions; 6) Utilize the following tools and technologies: Structured data transformation/engineering using Oracle/SQL via ETL (SSIS packages), Data modelling in QlikSense, Data visualization and dashboard development with Qlik Sense, Azure DevOps, JIRA Confluence, Visual Studio C#.NET, MS dynamics 365, Agile project management. Teleworking is permitted.
