GAP Solutions, Inc. is Hiring a Clinical Trial Data Analyst Near Bethesda, MD

Provide services as a Clinical Trial Data Analyst in support of the overall functions of the National Institute on Aging (NIA) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The purpose of this position is to provide data analytics support services to the National Institute on Aging and its Clinical Research Operations and Management System (CROMS). CROMS collects clinical trial enrollment and other study-related data for all NIA-funded clinical trial portfolio. The primary objective of this position is provide data quality oversight and analyses related to the assessment of CROMS trial portfolio. Ideal candidates would have experience and knowledge in GIS analyses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry in support of a number of different systems and programs, both numerical and text format. 1
  • Work with staff to gather and analyze information from users, primarily principal investigators (PIs), needed for the development or modification of CRFs and accompanying interface relating to data collection, storage and access. 2
  • Coordinate and perform data entry.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure consistency, integrity and robustness of data. 3
  • Provide analysis, analytical modeling, and/or data visualization on data sets using relevant data tools. 4
  • Ensure that appropriate variables are captured in the constructed databases. Record data into a format appropriate for processing.
  • Prepare tables and figures from data analyses. Perform database searches and assemble data sets.
  • Work with staff to curate data, retrieve records, generate reports and act as a liaison with academic and industry researchers.
  • Maintain databases for tracking and monitoring activities.
  • Follow established policies and procedures for the quality assurance of all study collection interfaces, storage and access.
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheet of tasks completed for each project and time spent conducting each task. Maintain databases and spreadsheets related to various data sharing activities.
  • Maintain databases and spreadsheets for tracking and analyzing submission of datasets.
  • Work with the data manager to provide data auditing services to studies that are active and ongoing as required to ensure that the quality of the data meets the study goals and quality standards.
  • Perform database analysis to look for incomplete data elements.
  • Work with database users to identify and resolve cases of missing data.
  • Prepare databases and reports for staff; perform various tracking and analysis of branch data to include spreadsheet preparation and interpretation.
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheet of tasks completed for each project and time spent conducting each task.
  • Maintain databases and spreadsheets related to various data sharing activities.
  • Work products and documents related to planning and preparing data and other documents to assist senior staff decision- making; tracking and analyzing NIA clinical trial portfolio for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia (ADRD)and non- ADRD trials to inform needs assessment. - Ad-Hoc
  • Work products and documents related to conducting secondary research to inform projects, including literature reviews and data mining existing NIA resources; drafting and finalizing program documents and reports. - Ad-Hoc
  • Work projects and documents related to data entry and quality control to ensure that timelines and objectives are met; attending communication - Weekly

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary social sciences.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth, ESRI, and SPSS.
  • Experienced in data quality control, database management, and data analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
