Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and care to individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for individuals under your care
- Engage in activities that promote socialization and independence
- Monitor and document any changes in behavior or health status
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses, to ensure the well-being of individuals
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for individuals in a nursing home or residential setting
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist individuals with mobility
Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques and best practices
- Ability to provide direct support and assistance with daily activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in meal preparation and medication administration
- Familiarity with childcare and nursing home environments
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized living space
- Physical strength and ability to perform heavy lifting
