This reporter will help readers navigate their lives, keep on top of local issues and trends and connect with the community and world around them. This reporter should establish ties and contacts in the Green Bay community and have a deep understanding of what residents care about. The ideal reporter is also SEO savvy and can spot high-interest topics using engagement tools like social media and Google Trends. A central part of the beat is covering city government and its actions in a way that centers on residents and how their lives are affected. Often, this calls for distilling complicated governmental processes into clear, interesting articles.
