Please be advised that Six Mile - Nika JV and its subcontractors are rejecting the collective bargaining agreement between the predecessor contractor and Teamsters Local 959. Accordingly, employment with members of the Six Mile - Nika JV or its subcontractors under its contract for Base Operation Support Services at the United States Coast Guard Base in Kodiak will not be subject to the terms and conditions of employees' previous collective bargaining agreement with Choctaw Defense Services. Employment with members of the Six Mile-Nika JV or its subcontractors under the Base Operation Support Services Contract at the United States Coast Guard Base in Kodiak will be subject to new terms and conditions of employment, subject to certain requirements under Section 4(c) the Service Contract Act or as otherwise required by applicable law.

JOB OVERVIEW

Six Mile, LLC (SML) is seeking a Work Control Clerk to provide support to a base operations support services contract in Kodiak, AK! This position coordinates with other departments to ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations, manages electronic databases, and maintains inventory accuracy.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Process requests and prepare various memos and reports using automated office machines.
  • Handles tasks related to accounts payable, manage documentation for customer accounts, and input data into computerized cost accounting systems.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings for engineering changes, verify incoming material and equipment, and review and input data into computer processing systems.
  • Perform frequent audits, operate equipment like fax machines and copiers, and provide administrative support for production managers.
  • Manage and control all change management and documentation.
  • Demonstrates strong math skills in managing accounts.
  • Inspect company products base on established guidelines.
  • Prepare mail for shipping.
  • Record incoming automobile titles.
  • Update and correct changes need to the RFI procedure.
  • Perform WMS processes to support inbound and outbound operations.
  • Enter invoices into the established system and verify for accuracy after scan.
  • Update Superfund site database and perform various searches and QA of databases.
  • Maintain the company library.
  • Archive and retrieve documents in electronic document management system MAXIMO.
  • Issue parts to technicians base on BOM and reject parts for work orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ABOUT YOU

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an office setting, including filing, handling mail and directing telephone calls.
  • Proven experience as a production control clerk or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of production control procedures, systems, and best practices.
  • Strong mathematical and numerical skills.
  • Proficient in using production control software and systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as required.
  • Proficient with MAXIMO.
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with common word processing, spreadsheet, database and basic accounting software.
  • Accurate and efficient typing skills for data entry, taking minutes and dictations, answering emails and typing letters and other documents.
  • Customer service for dealing with customers and suppliers.
  • Organization and ability to multitask for filing and completing several clerical and administrative tasks at once.
  • Attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard, such as taking sufficiently detailed minutes and telephone messages.
  • Integrity and discretion when working with sensitive employee and customer details.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
