Position: Gym Front Desk Associate

Full-Time - Pay Rate: $15 - $17 /Hour

Role Description Summary: 

The Front Desk Associate for the Fitness Center is responsible for greeting members and guests in a friendly and approachable manner, answering phones, scheduling appointments, signing up new members, addressing member questions and providing support to other fitness center professionals. A perfect applicant will be outgoing, self-motivated, reliable and have a passion for fitness!

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Greets and welcomes members and guests in a friendly manner and directs them to the appropriate person for assistance or provides fitness center information.
• Checks in members, collects guest fees, and ensures they are signed in the facilities tracking system.
• Assist with new memberships, renew existing memberships, and ensure all members are up to date on accounts.
• Answers telephone and email inquiries, provides information to members and potential members about the gym, and takes any messages.
• Record tracking of daily member visits, new members, daily revenue, and other reports as required.

• Responsible for increasing new member enrollment and promoting the Gym.

• Assists with sales of merchandise or upselling of higher-tier memberships.
• Helps resolve member issues or conflicts in a professional and effective manner.
• Maintains the organization, stocking and cleanliness of the front desk, restrooms, sauna rooms, towels, retail inventory and all other gym areas.
• Schedules appointments for clients.
• Shift change report conveyed to team at end of each shift.
• Performs, at regular intervals, daily walk throughs of the gym to address and maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Team Member may be required to perform other duties as required.

Requirements: 

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Self-sufficient with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Excellent in customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Membership relationship management, CRM and/or point-of-sale system experience desired.
• Competent in problem-solving, building relationships, and flexibility.

• Proficient in understanding of fitness equipment and principles.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.

• Must be available to work day and evening shifts, and some holidays.
