Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Compliance Coordinator with paralegal experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our operations adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role combines expertise in compliance management with a strong foundation in legal practices, particularly within the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program, creating tools and strategies to identify, manage, and mitigate legal risks.
• Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to legal parameters and internal policies.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance issues are effectively addressed in operational procedures and practices.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters, promoting a culture of compliance and integrity across the organization.
• Liaise with external legal advisors and handle any legal queries or issues that may arise.
• Stay updated on relevant healthcare laws and regulations that impact the organization.
• Manage and resolve compliance-related concerns, and coordinate with management on corrective actions and preventive measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance role within a healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and state-specific legal requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate legal concepts to non-legal staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with compliance management software.
