Job Highlights 

Responsible for coordinating all aspects of simulation activities including; integrating, maintaining and operating computer and audiovisual technology, performing pre and post simulation activities, and executing simulation sessions equipment. Collaborating with faculty, educators, staff and external stakeholders to quickly resolve problems. Troubleshoot technical and logistical issues to support daily operations of the Simulation Center.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a CHSOS certification or in process of CHSOS certification.
  • Must have a minimum of two years’ experience working in a hospital or ambulatory care setting. 
  • Must have strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Education must meet the requirements as mandated by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools for the appropriate field of study and degrees awarded at this institution. Each department displays the specific requirements for each position.
  • Ability to communicate and facilitate learning effectively and work collaboratively.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, class assignments and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to students and respond to questions from individuals as well as groups of students and chairs/directors.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the centrality of teaching and learning in a student centered environment bolstered by effective student outcome measures;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interaction with students, peers, administration and staff.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Demonstrated experience working with different healthcare professionals and staff strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience with budgets, purchasing, and inventory and scheduling systems preferred. 
  • Experience with simulations using advanced computer and academic technologies (preferably in a healthcare or educational setting), or the equivalent is preferred. 
  • Prior training experience preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience with electronic health record systems is preferred. 
  • Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations.
