Gallatin Valley Design Group is Hiring a Lead Interior Designer Near Bozeman, MT

The Gallatin Valley Design Group is a dynamic interiors team that offers comprehensive and scalable design services to an array of residential and commercial projects. Our mission is to create timeless spaces with talented and good people by our side. We are currently experiencing exciting growth and are looking for an Interior Designer to join our collaborative team.

This individual would work with the Managing Partner, Project Managers, and Interior Designers on larger projects, but also have the opportunity to lead small to medium sized projects independently. The ideal candidate should be highly creative, motivated, and have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working directly with design clients.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Produce and oversee the selection and design of all FF&E, Finishes and design concepts beginning with conceptual design through design development, construction documents, construction administration, and installation.
  • Accommodate deadline expectations agreed to by both client and Design Group
  • Research and select interior and exterior material and finish specifications.
  • Prepare and thoroughly maintain design and construction documents.
  • Lead and manage multiple clients, project teams, vendors and consultants concurrently to produce successful design outcomes
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines,
  • Perform design computations (take-offs, area calculations, pricing, etc.).
  • Place, manage, and track all project related orders
  • Prepare and maintain working binders, material boards, and digital presentations of Specification and Furnishings & Décor packages.
  • Assist with the maintenance and organization of the Design Group’s library.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • B.A. in Interior Design
  • Highly creative skills with strong sense of design, color, and materials.
  • Confidentially present design ideas & details professionally
  • Personable, communicative and well versed commercial and residential interior design.
  • Knowledge of design development and presentation documents
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and / or Revit, IVY, InDesign, and SketchUp.
  • Capable of navigating and understanding Construction Document’s.
  • Familiarity with multiple finish sources & furnishing / décor vendors
  • Ability to install design projects. This includes lifting, climbing, hanging, and agility to proficiently do tasks requested on job installations.
  • Skillful self-time management with capability to multi-task and problem solve concurrently.
  • Ability to delegate tasks, mentor, and direct Jr. Interior Designers.
  • Positive attitude, strong work-ethic & attention to detail.

Working conditions

This individual will work out of a design center/office in Bozeman, MT. The job will consist of a combination of office time, construction site visits, and in-home installation / delivery of Furnishings & Décor. Site visits may require travel nationally/globally. The position offered is full-time and is located in Bozeman, MT. The Gallatin Valley Design Group offers great benefits including 3 weeks accrued vacation time and additional benefits such as: medical, dental, vision, and a 401k program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
