Job Overview:
Gallant Business Solutions is seeking a senior business analyst position for a 12 month assignment with a Prince George’s County Govt agency. Ideal candidates must possess specific knowledge and experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to drive data-driven decision making as a member of the Prince George’s County Government agency.

The ideal candidate will have the minimum qualifications, strong technical background, broad knowledge of business analysis, and hands-on experience with health information systems, data analysis, report generation and communicating requirements to management.

This position is expected to be on site in Largo, MD.

Duties:

• Collaborate with high-level executives or leaders to understand the business’ needs and priorities.
• Collect business data and perform analysis to discover areas for improvement.
• Evaluate business processes or conduct other research, such as surveys, to identify potential issues.
• Give presentations to senior managers or executives to explain their analysis and make recommendations.
• Produce written reports detailing their data analysis.
• Provide guidance or training as needed to help businesses implement their recommended changes.
• Gather data to evaluate the impact of those changes.

REPORTING AND MEETING DELIVERABLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Attend weekly all hands status meeting for administrative items, general announcement, and system wide efforts.
• Attend Ad hoc meetings, as needed, for specific projects and/or special efforts.
• Provide weekly and combined Monthly Time Sheets with description of items worked with status details.
• Create Weekly status report of accomplishments and planned future activities.
• Create documentation of all technical work, system changes in the form of functional/technical specification.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience for a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations management, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a business analyst
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with health information systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Must have demonstrable good judgement and integrity.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to pass a background check

Accepted Certifications that are required:

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Project Management
• Institute Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)) are highly desirable.
