Position Summary:

The Safety Specialist must set a good impression and greet all patrons entering the facility. We look for people who relentlessly push themselves to go farther. As a part of our continued growth, we are searching for a Safety Specialist to join the San Diego Team. The Safety Specialist works under the direction of the Facilities Manager, and ensures that the work environment is well-maintained, clean and adheres to health and safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures that the work environment is well-maintained, clean and adheres to health and safety regulations.
• Complete daily and weekly office health and safety checks identifying and removing any risks and hazards.
• Monitors Building Cameras to ensure safety and security of the Facility at all times
• Assist with opening the front door for patrons and associates while they enter and exit the building
• Assist with deliveries such as FEDEX, UPS, USPS and other mail deliveries
• Hourly patrols to inspect the premises, equipment, buildings, access areas including garage and parking lot perimeters
• Inspect areas in between parking stalls and staff cars looking out for trespassers or articles left behind (any illegal drugs/substances found must be reported to Director)
• Report unusual activities and suspicious behavior
• Keep a log with details worth mentioning
• Observe things and people around the areas of surveillance and near access points
• Capable of performing first aid techniques and procedures
• Complete reports in accordance with Company’s requirements and guidelines
• Act in accordance with the laws of California
• Participate in the development and implementation of companywide safety programs (fire protection, earthquake preparedness etc.), tracking and reporting
• Conduct routine and follow-up safety drills
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

• High school diploma and 3 years related experience required.
