Fire Extinguisher Tech Service

In business since 1950, Gallagher Fire Equipment Co is a well respected firm in the Fire Protection and Life Safety industry. We are seeking a Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to join the team in our Livonia office. This is a full-time position eligible for full benefits including health, dental, 401k and paid time off.

Job Purpose

Our technicians perform vital recertification inspections and installation

of fire protection equipment as mandated by municipal fire codes.

Duties and responsibilities

Our service technicians are self-driven, with the ability to complete the work-load provided.

• Perform inspections and service on a variety of fire protection equipment including: portable fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
• Seek out additional sales and service opportunities within existing customer locations, and advise the customer of compliance needs.
• Develop long term relationships with customers and maintain customer retention.

Qualifications

• Must Have experience providing service and repair at customer's location.
• Mechanical ability and basic hand and power tool knowledge.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs , safely use ladders, work overhead and work in tight spaces.
• Work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Exhibit excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly

Compensation/Benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
