    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Supports testing by assisting in the development and maintenance of valid and reliable examinations in all prelicensure programs. Under the supervision of the Director of Test Development, serves as administrative and operational support to the Curriculum Department and faculty regarding testing.


    Job Description
    • Collaborates with Test Development Specialists to maintain integrity, consistency, and formatting of exams in the GEAR initiative.
    • Codes examination items based on cognitive levels, concepts, course student learning outcomes (CSLOs), Program Student Learning Outcomes (PSLOs), and the most current NCLEX® Test Blueprint.
    • Ensures that testing processes comply with the established policies and procedures as outlined in the Testing Policy & Procedures.
    • Updates and maintains examinations within the GEARS test bank.
    • Coordinates online testing with other departments, as required.
    • Coordinates meetings between department and faculty to review item analyses.
    • Compiles testing data for reporting and data analysis purposes.
    • Provides administrative support for testing within the department.
    • Other duties as assigned
    Job Qualifications
    • Education: An earned bachelor’s degree with appropriate technical knowledge or equivalent experience. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for an earned bachelor’s degree.
    • Experience: Minimum three (3) years’ experience in higher education required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have excellent organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • Must also have the ability to take initiative and facilitate the College’s efforts to achieve and maintain regional program accreditation. Requires the ability to plan, organize, and perform multiple tasks and responsibilities within established timelines.
