Job Summary and Qualifications

Welcomes students and visitors to ensure proper identification is shown at all buildings.


Position Responsibilities

• Greet, screen, and direct all students, employees, and visitors following the established procedures.
• Perform security patrols of designated areas.
• Monitor irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles.
• Provide assistance to students, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintain entrance and lobby in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Assist in restocking restrooms if needed.
• Clean up spills as needed.
• In the advent of inclement weather be prepared to monitor weather radio and alert instructors and students of the need to seek shelter
• Communicate orally with co-workers, visitors, and vendors in person or via phone.
• Work cooperatively with other contractors, employees, various levels of management, and students.
• Ensure that all students/visitors have left the building prior to ending shift.
• Secure entrance doors prior to leaving.

Position Requirements

• 
  Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Basic computer knowledge and ability to receive and send company emails. Must be able to lift 25 – 50 pounds.
• Degree of Supervision: Minimal
