    Job Summary and Qualifications

    As an Associate Director of Student Conduct and Title IX Coordinator at Galen College of Nursing you will be responsible for ensuring grievances and complaints receive due process in accordance with the College’s policies and procedures. The Associate Director is also responsible for monitoring and ensuring the College’s compliance with federal and state laws and regulations relating to grievances and complaints, and additionally serves as the College’s Title IX Coordinator.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership and support to ensure grievances and complaints receive due process in accordance with the College’s policies and procedures, including the review of complaints filed through external agencies.
    • Provides guidance and oversight for the implementation of Title IX compliance, including intake, coordination, and supervision of investigations, supportive measures, training/education, communication, and administration of Title IX procedures.
    • Conducts timely and thorough intake and evaluation of reports of sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, gender-related violence, including stalking and relationship violence, and other forms of sexual misconduct or violence. Intake and evaluation include gathering and assessing information to determine next steps in the Title IX process.
    • Keep accurate records of grievances, complaints, and investigations and provide ongoing updates and timelines as appropriate.
    • Maintain consistent, up-to-date knowledge of relevant federal and state rules and regulations and disseminate timely updates to appropriate stakeholders.
    • Identify and implement strategies for improvement and consistency related to grievances and complaints.
    • Chair and/or participate in appropriate committee meetings and monitor and report on committee activities.
    • Develop and lead training programs to improve compliance with federal and state agencies related to grievances, complaints, and Title IX.
    • Identify areas for policy improvement and recommend strategies for improvement and oversee implementation of corrective measures, which may include follow-up to ensure completion of recommended actions.
    • Identify potential and existing areas of vulnerability and risk within the Institution and recommend corrective actions for resolution. Report areas of concern or non-compliance.
    • Monitor local, regional, and national publications for news and events that may impact the College.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    What qualifications you will need:

    Education:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred.
    • Three (3) years of accreditation, student affairs, legal, or policy experience in a higher education setting.
    • Must possess decisiveness, confidence, flexibility, and ability to adapt to change.
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills demonstrated at all organizational levels.
    • Excellent judgment, problem solving, analytical abilities with high attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and organize projects to meet deadlines.
    • Willingness and ability to travel to support institutional efforts at each campus.

    Special Qualifications: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Must be highly organized with ability to work in a team environment, multitask and prioritize projects. Must have an ability to respect at all times the confidential nature of the work and information in the Executive’s office.
