Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Working with Production Planning and Supervisory staff to understand the daily/weekly demand required to be processed.
• Working with Engineering teams to collect the input data (DWG, CAD/ BOM) and use the ideal CAD/CAM and machine software to ensure the equipment is programmed and utilized effectively and efficiently for a two-shift operation.
• Optimize machine output levels utilizing planning foresight and batch runs while ensuring a coordinated order completion process that enables efficient downstream processes.
• Communicate machine process schedules with Supervisors, Machine Operators and Material Management teams.
• Programming of product in ad-hoc fashion to support downstream process flow.
• Support the production engineering team to convert unsupported 2D drawings to usable CAD data that can be used to better utilize the machine equipment going forward.
• Working with Continuous Engineering (CI) teams to capture and communicate time/cost opportunities.
• Taking ownership of tooling replenishment and tooling advancement with the help of the CI team.
• Support equipment troubleshooting as needed.
• All other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience
• Strong experience programming CNC equipment (shop floor programming)
• Strong experience in computer aided manufacturing (CAM)- Programming CNC machines offline
• Great computer aided design (CAD) experience- Solid modeling using Inventor/Solid Works
• Great organization skills and leadership qualities
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Initiative-taker with good interpersonal skills
• Must be able to follow all Company safety policies and procedures
