GAI Consultants is Hiring a Senior Project Engineer (Power Generation) Near Warrenton, VA

Description

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to work with the Power Generation Business Sector on primarily renewable energy projects and when needed other regional projects. GAI Consultants, Inc. offers its employees, upon approval by supervisors, the ability to work remotely or in a hybrid setting. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment that will utilize their college education and past work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in today's environment. Your responsibilities in this position will include leading civil site work, including design, permitting, construction activities as well as beginning to develop client management and business development strategies. The candidate should be driven and be seeking the opportunity to lead.

Job Duties:

  • Work on energy-related projects with a focus on renewables
  • Lead civil site engineering tasks
  • Interface with clients on civil site tasks
  • Lead assigned project teams
  • Lead development of civil site proposals
  • Responsible for task management on assigned projects (schedules, budgets, and quality of work)

The candidate will lead civil site engineering tasks including:

  • Site Grading Plans
  • Erosion and Sediment Control Plans
  • Stormwater Management Plans
  • Hydrologic and Hydraulic / Drainage Plans
  • Utility Design and Relocation Plans
  • Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans
  • Geotechnical Investigations
  • Permit Applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.)
  • Access Road Section Development
  • Construction Drawings, Specifications, and Quality Control Plans
  • Construction Cost Estimates
  • Owner's Engineer Support During Construction
  • Field Investigations

The candidate should have the desire and ability to travel to Project sites domestically, as needed, with a focus on the mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.

Bachelors of Environmental Engineering (required)

Experience

6 years: Minimum of 6 years of relevant civil engineering experience (required)
