The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for treatment of patients and communication with staff, patients, patient families and physicians. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing direct patient care, demonstrating fiscal awareness, assisting with maintenance of supplies/equipment as needed for operation of department, and assisting in developing programs for the department. Coordinates daily functions/activities of the department. The position will require flexibility to encompass all professional areas within the organization realm and competencies to be met as appropriate.
Education REQUIRED: Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology. |
Experience REQUIRED: New graduates eligible. Potential mix pediatric/adult and OP/acute care, experience with adult dysphagia management a plus or willing to learn. |
Licenses/Certificates REQUIRED: Must hold a Clinical Fellowship Year certificate or Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech/Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Must be approved or licensed to practice in the field of Speech/Language Pathology in the State of Alabama by the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA). |
