Basic Description:

Operates an industrial forklift/roll-clamp to move materials in the warehouse as well as to load and unload truck trailers or shipping containers. Responsible for periodic inspection of the lift for general maintenance and repairs. Responsible for following all required safety regulations while operating the forklift/roll-clamp function.

Essential Functions:

• Loads and unloads material on and off production equipment, pallets, skids, and trailers. May be done manually or with different types of lifting devices (forklift, clamp truck, pallet jack, etc.).
• Must be able to read and interpret work orders, pick lists, bills of lading, and other documents for proper handling of incoming and outgoing material.
• Drive forklifts/roll clamps in order to transfer material to and from the dock to production areas or proper storage location in warehouse.
• Organizes and secures stored materials such as bales, boxes, pallets, rolls, etc.
• Weighs products or materials and records weight and other production information in inventory system.
• Performs routine inspections to ensure the suitable working nature of forklift/roll clamp equipment.
• Reports to Supervisor/Manager any damage to racks, faulty equipment or any other safety hazards.
• Works within safety guidelines along with all company policies and procedures.
• General housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas.

Qualification Requirements:

• Must have 1st and 2nd shift availability
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. multiple times in an 8 or 10 hour shift
• Ability to bend twist, kneel, squat throughout an 8 or 10 hour shift
• Operate effectively in a fast paced, team environment
• Able to work 8 hours shifts (M-F)- 7:00 am - 3:00 pm or

7:00 am - 3:00 pm OR 3:00 pm - 11:00PM with Saturday availability
