Position Summary:

The Driver I will ensure the timely delivery and unloading of merchandise to proper customer locations. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operate and navigate commercial delivery vehicle (GVWR 10,000 lbs or less)
2. Follows schedules and uses navigation apps to plan each route based on road and traffic conditions.
3. Unload merchandise for customers on local deliveries.
4. Handle boxes, containers, packages of various weights and sizes.
5. Maintain merchandise resale value and quality by protecting it from damage.
6. Maintain vehicle and work areas in clean, orderly and safe condition.
7. Performs vehicle maintenance checks and arranges regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle. Reports any mechanical and operational issues to management.
8. Proper completion of regulatory and administrative forms and reports relating to vehicle operation.
9. Report damaged/missing product to supervisor or Branch Manager.
10. Interacts with customers in a professional manner and provides whatever customer assistance is appropriate under the circumstances and according to company policies.
11. When not making deliveries, assist in the warehouse as needed.
12. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years prior warehouse, delivery and forklift experience preferred. Candidate must be organized, detail orientated and accurate and work as part of a team. Ability to obtain a valid medical card and chauffer license. Prior warehouse, delivery and forklift experience preferred. Must be certified in operating a forklift. 

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs repetitively for 8 hours
• Ability to operate and navigate commercial delivery vehicle (GVWR 10,000 lbs or less)
• May be required to sit for long periods of time.
• May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching, pushing and pulling of merchandise, products and materials.
• Consistently follows procedures and adheres to standards
• Must be able to understand and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form and follow directions.

Working Conditions:

Due to the open warehouse environment, must be able to work in various indoor climatic conditions including heat, humidity and cold. Maneuvers in small areas and/or around various objects
