Position Summary:

The UPS sends and receives UPS and other carrier orders and keeps the warehouse free from debris and clutter.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Handle boxes, containers, packages of various weights and sizes.
2. Receive merchandise and check-in inventory.
3. Store inventory in proper stocking locations.
4. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
5. Marks materials with identifying information.
6. Properly package and label outbound common carrier shipments.
7. Maintain merchandise resale value and quality by protecting it from damage.
8. Report damaged/missing product to supervisor or Branch Manager.
9. Locate, retrieve and deliver merchandise to counter and will call customers and stage areas for loading.
10. Perform cleaning, housekeeping and other organizational duties necessary to keep warehouse and premises safe, orderly and neat..
11. Provide whatever customer assistance is appropriate under the circumstances and according to company policies.
12. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must be organized, detail orientated and accurate and work as part of a team. Prior warehouse, delivery and forklift experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs repetitively for 8 hours
• May be required to stand for long periods of time.
• May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching, pushing and pulling of merchandise, products and materials.
• Consistently follows procedures and adheres to standards
• Must be able to understand and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form and follow directions.
• Must be able to communicate
• Ability to understand product codes and terminology
• Ability to use hand tools to open boxes or containers
• Ability to meet the attendance standards

Working Conditions:

Due to the open warehouse environment, must be able to work in various indoor climatic conditions including heat, humidity and cold. Maneuvers in small areas and/or around various objects
