Overview

Responsibilities include; Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). Welders are required to meet certification to AWS D17.1 for Aerospace Welding for compliance to NADCAP (National Aerospace Defense Contractors Accreditation Program).

Responsibilities

• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply to job duties.
• Organize and perform the welding independently and complete all necessary documents.
• Perform mechanical sections for determining weld quality.
• Comply with the safety requirements of the department and company.
• Perform weld qualification to AWS D17.1
• Perform welding to Engineering Process Specifications (EPS).
• Responsible for production assembly of components, fitting, and/or adjustment of interrelated parts.

Qualifications

• AWS D17.1 Fusion Welding for Aerospace Applications (desired)
• Able to read simple drawings: use scale, calipers and simple measuring instruments.
• Knowledge acquired through experience in assembly work.
• Work requires assembly of a wide variety of regular and special purpose parts.
• Considerable judgment and decisions is needed to follow clearly defined standard work procedures and practices. 

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience
