Equipment/Tool Department Manager
One of the Northwest’s Leaders in commercial interiors, demo, flooring, paint, wall treatment, ceramic tile, and concrete toppings is seeking a equipment/tool manager.
Position - Equipment/Tool Department Manager
Compensation – DOE
Our Kent, WA based company is recruiting a Equipment/Tool Department Manager that would report to our Kent based warehouse.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects at one time, communicate well, use modern technology, manage inventory, maintain small to medium equipment, repair equipment, manage maintenance of company fleet.
Responsibilities:
The safety of all personnel in company, compliance with all company, customer, federal and state safety regulations and requirements.
Set a personal example in all aspects of professional conduct including personal appearance, arrival to the workplace on time, verbal communication and safety practices.
Complete understanding of equipment and tools associated with scope of work we perform (can be learned over time).
Provide direction and assistance to the field personnel, including installers and superintendents as needed relating to equipment.
On call 24/7 to preform onsite diagnostic and repairs to equipment as needed.
Inventory and track all equipment making sure nothing is lost.
General building maintenance as needed, light replacement, light ballast repair, plumbing, installation of mail boxes, shelves, etc.
Practical knowledge and use of electronic communication via cell phone, text and email.
Communication with tool department, installers, project superintendents, Superintendent of Labor and other team members necessary to the fulfillment of project objectives.
Identify and secure all necessary training and knowledge to maintain equipment.
Review complex jobs prior to starting to confirm tool requirements and preparedness.
Develop and recommend processes and systems that optimize productivity and organization.
Communicate in advance with superintendent of labor and operations manager any problems related to the tool department.
Immediately report any bad news or to the Superintendent of Labor and Business Operations Manager.
Work Hours
Workload will determine required hours
Must be on call 24/7 to assist with any aspect of equipment needs.

Equipment is in good condition and working order at all times.
Timely and effective communication.
Projects always have needed equipment.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
