POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate-Driver is responsible for physical and clerical tasks associated with the shipment and reception of supplies. This position is also responsible for transporting packages, equipment, and materials to different locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verifies shipping records and correct packaging and labeling.
• Unpackages/unloads received goods, checks for damage and accuracy of shipments.
• Accurately and efficiently stocks shipments
• Pulls, prepares, and processes daily orders according to requisitions generated by field management.
• Utilizes computer to manage accurate inventory for warehouse operations.
• Keeps an inventory of products in the warehouse and makes sure everything is in the correct place and ordered if needed.
• Transports material / equipment requests to and from jobsites.
• Follows all security and safety procedures established by the company.
• Assists in all maintenance responsibilities and activities established by the warehouse.
• Maintains material and equipment.
• Promote a positive working environment conducive to a team atmosphere in alignment with the GS Steel culture.
• Performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED / PREFERRED

• Requires the ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with vendors.
• Requires the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
• Basic understanding of MS Office and Outlook (Smartsheet a plus).
• Requires the ability to drive forklift.
• MUST have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug screening.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
