Grind Operator 2nd Shift, 5 days / week. 3 : 30pm - 12am

Essential Job Duties :

• Operate machine(s) assigned after set-up by area supervisor, lead person and / or set-up person.
• Obtain necessary wheels fixtures, and collets fixtures under guidance of supervision.
• Make major adjustments as allowed to produce parts in accordance with tolerances and requirements as called for on production sketches.
• Assist lead person, set-up person or others in set-ups as required.
• Required to perform certain set-ups under the supervision of the area supervisor, lead person, and / or set-up person; change and / or dress wheels as required under the direction of supervision.
• Inspect parts as produced to assure compliance with requirements using micrometers, verniers, gages, fixtures and / or other measuring equipment.
• Report any problems, difficulties, or unusual circumstances immediately to supervision.
• Responsible for production, both quality and quantity.
• Responsible for exercising good machining practices at all times.
• Maintain accurate production cards, records or other data as required.
• Observe all company policies, rules and regulations including good housekeeping, safety, and security.
• Perform duties as required, assigned or directed.

• Follows all safety requirements including use of PPE when required
• Understanding and ability to use various inputs from different sources
• Understanding of broad scope manufacturing processes of the company
