Become a bartender for an iconic Waikiki restaurant! Hy’s Steak House has had the distinct pleasure of serving guests for over 45 years. The bartender position requires an individual with a willingness to champion our bar and beverage programs. Our ideal candidate must have a high competency in hospitality, mixology, and restaurant systems. We are seeking a working knowledge of classic cocktails with the ability to work effectively in the well with high cover volumes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant bartending experience.
• Associate degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management (Highly Preferred)
• Working knowledge of point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Introductory abilities in cocktail craftsmanship, spirits knowledge, and wine competency.
• Able to accurately and effectively follow hygiene and safety policies and procedures.
• Must be able to obtain a Liquor Card from the Liquor Commission.
• Must be able to withstand physical elements of the position inclusive of standing, lifting, and working for extended periods of time.
• Available to work a flexible schedule inclusive of holidays with an administrative capability.
• Ability to balance guest volume and hospitality.
• Proficiency in Math

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting with inventory, ordering, and cocktail preparation
• Working knowledge of beverage list with an emphasis in the spirits selection
• Maintaining Hy's service standards
• Organizing drink recipe documentation.
• Executing an effective bar set-up, break-down, and hygienic standard.
• Communicates effectively with management and beverage teams
• Utilizes point-of-sales system and restaurant software.
