Graphic InstallerPosition SummaryThe Primary job responsibility will be the installation of vinyl graphics and vehicle wraps on multiple types of surfaces including vehicles, walls, windows, and buildings.Under general supervision, performs a variety of journey-level tasks related to the production, installation, removal and repair of vinyl wraps and window tint for District vehicles, equipment or facilities and performs related work as required. Essential FunctionsPrepare all surfaces for installation.Follow design layout and accurately measure and place graphics prior to installation.Install vinyl graphic wraps on cars, vans, trucks, buses, boats, and other surfaces as necessary including walls, windows and other architectural applications.Have the ability to remove old vinyl graphics and adhesive from a variety of surfaces without causing damage to the surfaces.The safe use of specialty knives and other tools to precisely cut and install various decorative vinyl decals. Perform quality assurance; measures pre and post application.Document and record necessary information to support quality and warranty parameters.Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the immediate manager.Ability to meet if not exceed deadlines on installation schedule. Competency Statements(s)Accountability - Ability to complete assigned tasks with little oversight and is willing to accept persona responsibility for work and results. Adaptability - Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.Communication Skills - Ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) with others either individually or in a group setting.Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customer' needs while following company policies and procedures.Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company policies and procedures. Education LevelHigh School degree, GED or equivalent degree Experience1-3 years of previous Point of Sale production experience (e.g. preparation of banners, signs) strongly preferred.. Computer SkillsMust have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Certifications & LicensesMust be able to be trained to operate a forklift and scissor lift. CDL License would be a plus. 3M MCS, Arlon Flight accreditations Additional RequirementsKnowledge of: All specialty vinyl’s and architectural medias for retail and architectural environments; knowledge of interior wall and window applications. Experience with LIFT ERP system would be a plus. Skill in: Internal customer service. Ability to: work accurately, decipher discrepancies and make corrections; work quickly, independently and efficiently; multi-task; communicate effectively with other employees and develop good working relationships; adapt to change; read and write; perform basic math functions (e.g. addition and subtraction); obtain a forklift license; operate a forklift and graphic design finishing equipment (e.g. printer, laminator, electric cutter, binding equipment). Other functions, skills and abilities may also apply. Work EnvironmentMust be able to occasionally work in outside weather conditions when loading and unloading trucks.
