G & G Industries, Inc., an IATF16949 supplier of automotive interior trim components, is seeking a Production Supervisor for our growing facility located in Shelby Twp, MI.
The Production Supervisor supports and demonstrates the Company’s core values while supervising the designated shift production operations. You will be responsible for leading, directing, motivating and coaching employees for the benefit of the company. Create strong two-way communication throughout the organization.
Responsibilities to include:
- Monitor daily production activities with regards to production performance and quality targets.
- Ensure leaders and employees follow the designated production schedules, assist in work prioritization where necessary
- Schedule Standard Hours & Overtime
- Maintains Company safety and cleanliness standards
- Setup production lines and cells for next shift’s production needs
- Perform annual performance evaluations.
- Provide feedback to employees related to non-conformances and efficiency data
- Enforce shop rules and company policies. Administer disciplinary action as necessary
- Oversee the receiving process for all incoming goods
- Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve systems and reduce the cost of manufacturing
- Assist with training of new or fill-in operators
- Identify, develop, and implement strategies to attain production targets with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale
- Lead daily production meetings to communicate production goals and provide feedback on overall team performance
- Warehouse Organization
- Maintain 5S audits
- Maintain Layered process audits
- Additional responsibilities, as determined by Plant Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge with Lean Manufacturing practices and IATF16949 quality system
- Ability to supervise manufacturing workforce in achieving desired goals
- Proficient in Microsoft computer software applications
- Experience with AIM Vision or other MRP software a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledgeable and experienced in IATF16949
- Demonstrated competence in leading teams and organizing and executing strategic plans
- Strong capability to build strong and effective working relationships with internal/external customers
- Ability to provide leadership and capable of problem solving in a fair and consistent manner
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
