Full job description

We are looking for a motivated Jr. Estimator to join our company. Duties of the Jr. estimator will include but are not limited to excellent communication skills and professionalism with clients and vendors, job site/project evaluation with a hands-on approach, excellent time management skills. The ideal candidate should have 5 years’ experience with electrical estimation, be proficient in estimation software, be up to date with industry standards and detailed oriented. If you have previous experience in estimation/project management, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience with bidding small and large jobs
  • Work closely with clients, vendors and staff to ensure accurate work flow of all projects
  • Review and interpret construction documents.
  • Analyze blueprints and specifications.
  • Determine potential profitability of projects to assist management in making bidding decisions.
  • Perform takeoff from drawings utilizing estimating software. Including, but not limited to: quantify materials needed and determine labor required for duration of project.
  • Research, obtain, and review supplier quotes for accuracy and competitive pricing.
  • Create clearly written proposals and submit project bids in accordance with company standards and established guidelines per the bidding documents.
  • Regularly update cost databases to reflect current market and labor costs.
  • Complete change order pricing, as required.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required
  • 5 years experience required. Prior experience as a journeyman electrician REQUIRED.
