We are seeking a highly Self-Motivated and Reliable Hospice Intake Coordinator to join our Team.
Description:
This role consists of data entry, professional communication with staff and coordination with patients and their families. You will establish relationships with patients, patient families, hospital and affiliates, care facilities, and others. In addition, you will ensure all our patients are receiving the care they deserve.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient intake interviews to gather necessary information
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments as needed
- Provide administrative support to medical staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and ensure patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Hospice setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical scheduling and medical administrative support processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
