Why We Need You:

Our Practice Coach is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience with you and join us as our newest Patient Service Specialist at our optometric practice in Mountain View, California.

As a Patient Service Specialist, you will perform patient support through administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, insurance verification, data entry, and are responsible for general office activities. Join us in advancing eye health and enhancing the lives of our patients in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

This is a full time permanent position working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Tuesday to Saturdays. Availability to work Saturdays is a must.

What Will You Be Doing?:

• Communicating with patients in person, by phone, and by email
• Administering pre-testing services such as retinal digital imaging
• Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts, and billing and payments
• Office administrative tasks including processing mail, filing, and faxing
• Assistance with retail of eyewear products

What Do You Bring:

• A professional, approachable manner and a love of meeting and interacting with people
• Committed to excelling as a member of a high performing team
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• A high level of comfort using technology and computers
• Solid proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Previous Optical Industry experience or knowledge of routine eye care is an asset
• Spanish language fluency is a definite asset

Salary: $18.75 - $22 per hour based
