Senior Site/Civil Engineer - Full-time
Location: White Plains, NY
Required Qualifications:
5-10 years’ experience.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
Strongly prefer NYS or CT PE (or the ability to obtain the PE licensure within 6-12 months of hire).
Experience with Westchester County, Connecticut, and/or local municipalities and agencies preferred
Must have a valid driver’s license
Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is essential
Proficiency in stormwater modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, StormCAD, AutoCAD SSA, FlowMaster, etc.) preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Superior attention to detail and organizational ability
Job Description
The Engineering Department is seeking a Senior Site/Civil Engineer to be based out of White Plains, NY or Stamford, CT offices. This individual will serve a key function in the design and management of a broad range of land development projects for both our municipal and private sector clients. The potential candidate will have the opportunity to work in an environment of encouragement and collaboration to help our company shape the future of the region.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead/support tasks including preparation of site/civil engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for projects in the Hudson Valley and Connecticut.
Lead/support project management responsibilities including managing discrete tasks, project schedule, and budget.
Lead/support construction administration responsibilities including periodic site visits to active construction sites.
Day-to-day project communication and coordination with clients and other design consultants.
Assist in and lead pursuits and proposal writing.
Provide direction, delegation, mentoring, and training to staff engineers.
