ESL Teacher - Full Time
Location: Boston, MA, 02130
Responsibilities:
Deliver English language reading, writing, listening, and speaking interventions.
Provide an inclusive environment for all learners.
Assess, plan, resource and collaborate with class teachers to provide support to students.
Teach and support students with their English language skills.
Plan, prepare and deliver schemes of work in accordance with the EAL programs.
Maintain high levels of behavior and discipline.
Use modern technology to enhance learning opportunities.
Work cooperatively with classroom and subject teachers to plan and deliver support to EAL and other students.
Monitor and record students' learning to ensure they remain on track to achieve challenging targets.
Maintain records of pupils' progress.
Engage in admission process for prospective new students, conduct admissions interviews and support decision making for families joining the school.
Qualifications:
A recognized EAL/ESL/TEOSOL qualification and experience teaching in a school setting.
Working knowledge of EAL best practice and up-to-date teaching, learning & assessment methods.
Understanding of EAL in the mainstream philosophy and desire to continue professional development in the field of EAL.
Proficiency in using modern technology to enhance learning opportunities.
Experience in maintaining records of pupils' progress.
Experience in planning, preparing, and delivering schemes of work in accordance with EAL programs.
